MEANING AND ORIGIN OF THE WORD "AMISH"

The word "Amish" is originated from Europe  in the late 17th century and it means "An orthodox Anabaptist sect that separated from the Mennonites in the late 17th century and exists today primarily in Ohio and southeast Pennsylvania."

According to the Indian Origin "Amish" is a Sanskrit word and it means pure, honest and truthful.


Amish is the combination of two names "AMIT + SHIPRA = AMISH"
